“ It's very convenient and fresh food in town. Thank you for long time service Last 20yrs. ”
“ so much better than farm fresh, has a butcher in house, and southern staples are found as well as good deals on frozen foods/meat. sometimes produce selection is limited but what's there is better quality than farm fresh. staff are friendly as well. ”
“ This review is going to sound over the top complimentary, but I promise that this store is fantastic. Possibly the best indication that the owners are kind is the fact that they have very little staff turnover. They also don't mark up prices like they could in a food desert. (Anyone who has lived in Manchester knows how frustrating it is to buy a crazy expensive bottle of Kraft salad dressing from Rite Aid.) Additionally, Chimbo Mart was one of the first establishments to distribute masks and institute a mask requirement for employees. This shop is truly an asset to Church Hill. Please support them. ”
“ This place is truly a neighborhood asset. Great exterior lighting; a man who daily picks up ALL of the trash around the property [and somewhat adjoining areas]; new refrigeration equipment; really fair prices...and much much more. I have lived in the Oakwood area for 6 years this July, so I have been near the grocery for a while. When I see their employees around town, dressed in their distinctive uniforms...they are always so polite. What a great team ”
“ Very clean very affordable nice selection for a smaller inner urban local market, rare market with their own butcher, nice access to veggies beyond broccoli like asparagus and sweet corn, same with fruit, you have much more than just bananas, oranges apples grapes lemons and limes, glad your three blocks from me too! ”
“ You know what? People laugh when you mention Chimbo as a legitimate market to shop at, but this is a nice little place! They have a good selection of meats, a nice little produce area, a small selection of canned and packaged goods, beer, wine, etc. All the usual suspects. It's clean, the staff is friendly, and I feel safe and welcome there. I know Chimbo has a long and checkered history and many people have written it off, but it's definitely serving a good purpose and filling a huge hole in the middle of the food desert that is Church Hill. And their prices are just fine. Support your local market! ”
